Course Objectives
- Build strong foundations in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Improve confidence in communication for daily life, study, and career opportunities.
- Develop cross-cultural understanding by integrating U.S. and Pakistani contexts.
- Prepare students for advanced English learning and international opportunities.
Target Groups
Basic Level Learners (A1–A2 CEFR)
- Students with little or no prior knowledge of English.
- Learners aiming to use English for daily communication.
Intermediate Level Learners (B1–B2 CEFR)
- Students with some English skills who want to improve fluency.
- Professionals, job-seekers, or university students preparing for global opportunities.
Course Duration
- Basic Level: 3 months (12 weeks, 4 classes per week, 1.5 hrs each)
- Intermediate Level: 3 months (12 weeks, 4 classes per week, 1.5 hrs each)
Total Program Duration: 6 months (separate or combined track)
Course Structure
- Basic English Course (A1–A2)
Module 1:
- Introduction to English
- Alphabets, pronunciation, greetings, self-introduction.
- Numbers, days, months, colors, basic vocabulary.
Module 2:
- Everyday Communication
- Simple sentences for asking/giving information.
- Family, school, shopping, travel vocabulary.
- Role plays (at the market, at the doctor, asking for directions).
Module 3:
- Basic Grammar & Writing
- Nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions.
- Forming simple present, past, and future sentences.
- Writing short messages, emails, and applications.
Module 4:
- Listening & Speaking Practice
- Listening to short conversations.
- Speaking in pairs and groups.
- Storytelling with visuals.
2. Intermediate English Course (B1–B2)
Module 1:
- Expanding Vocabulary & Grammar
- Complex sentence structures, connectors, modal verbs.
- Vocabulary for education, culture, business, technology.
Module 2:
- Effective Communication Skills
- Public speaking basics, debates, and discussions.
- Email etiquette and professional correspondence.
- Presentation skills with slides.
Module 3:
- Reading & Writing for Fluency
- Reading articles, short stories, news reports.
- Writing essays, reports, resumes, and cover letters.
Module 4:
- Listening & Cultural Integration
- Listening to lectures, interviews, and podcasts.
- Understanding American and Pakistani cultural contexts.
- Group projects linking U.S.–Pak culture through English.
Teaching Methods
- Interactive Classes – games, role plays, group work.
- Audio-Visual Aids – videos, songs, podcasts, documentaries.
- Digital Tools – Zoom/Google Meet for hybrid classes, learning apps.
- Project-Based Learning – cultural presentations, mock interviews, storytelling.
Assessment & Certification
- Weekly Quizzes (vocabulary, grammar, listening).
- Midterm & Final Test (oral + written).
- Certificates of Completion issued by UPECA, recognized as part of its educational & cultural initiatives.
